Maine has a “Home Energy Savings” program though Efficiency Maine. Homeowners who join the program save 40% annually energy costs.

Maine PACE Financing

Through PACE program, homeowners can make energy efficient home improvements including heating system upgrades and home weatherization. Homeowners may receive up to $25,000 for energy efficiency projects.

Maine Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

LIHEAP provides financial assistance to low-income homeowners who wish to improve energy efficiency of their homes.

“MaineHousing’s Weatherization Program provides grants to low-income homeowners and renters to reduce energy costs by improving home energy efficiency. Weatherization improvements may include insulation, weather-stripping, caulking, and some safety-related repairs. Central Heating Improvement Program (CHIP) grants may be used to repair or replace central heating systems.”
