Arkansas Energy Office is an Energy Star partner in Arkansas. Arkansas Energy Office has many  incentives to help homeowners interested in upgrading their homes for energy efficiency. The Energy Efficient Mortgage (EEM) is a program that allows homeowners to turn the costs of energy efficient improvements into home loan. The ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebate Program helps consumers to replace less efficient appliances with energy-efficient ENERGY STAR® models.

Weatherization Services in Arkansas

The Arkansas Weatherization Program helps residents of Arkansas cut high utility bills and increase safety and comfort of their homes. Both renters and homeowners are eligible, while housing types eligible include mobile homes, single-family houses and multifamily units.

There are fifteen agencies that provide weatherization services in Arkansas. Arkansas community action agencies (CAAs) provide a variety of cost-effective energy efficient upgrades to residents of Arkansas that meet established income criteria (based on annual household income).

Senior citizens, persons with disabilities and families with children are given preference in the program. Arkansas families that receive Aid to Families with Dependent Children or Supplemental Security Income are automatically eligible.

The most frequent weatherization services performed in Arkansas homes are weatherstripping and caulking, installing insulation, replacing incandescent bulbs with CFL bulbs, replacing glass panes/windows, repairing/replacing the heating unit and installing carbon monoxide detectors.
